Dengan segala sukacitanya, Badan Hal Ehwal Islam dan Pembangunan Insan (EHSAN) dengan kerjasama Kelab Dewan Malaysia Melbourne (KDMM), Federation of Australian Muslim Students and Youth (FAMSY), Kelab UMNO Australia Melbourne (KUAM), Malaysian Students’ Council of Australia (MASCA), Victoria Malaysians Post Graduate Association (VMPGA), Petronas Victoria (PETROVIC), dan Jabatan Penuntut Malaysia Australia, Melbourne (JPMA) ingin menjemput anda semua yang tinggal di sekitar Melbourne untuk bersama-sama menghadirkan diri ke Majlis Sambutan Isra’ Mikraj 1429 Hijrah.

Antara program yang menarik adalah tayangan video dan juga forum terbuka yang panelnya terdiri daripada presiden kelab-kelab dan persatuan di Melbourne. Ini adalah buat kali pertamanya forum sebegini diadakan. Pastikan anda tidak ketinggalan untuk menyaksikannya.

Makan tengah hari akan disediakan.

Diharap kehadiran anda semua dapat menjayakan serta memeriahkan lagi majlis ini.

Sumbangan berbentuk juadah (pot luck) juga adalah dialu-alukan untuk dinikmati bersama semasa makan tengah hari pada hari tersebut.

Note to members:

Our president, Suhaimi will be one of the four panellists for the day, which are made up from four student leaders in. The discussion will revolve upon the notion of student and the 'Journey Towards Excellence'. It will hopefully be a very dynamic, interesting talk, and we very much hope that everyone will be able to take away something from this.

Semester BBQ

We're excited to let you know that this semester's barbecue will be hosted by the Monash Petrovic kids! Take this opportunity to head over to Clayton (as it's only fair, because we make them drag themselves all the way to the city!) and experience the difference!

MASCA Games Reimbursement

There are two parts to this:

Firstly, can people please email me the list of events which Petrovic scholars participated in, and their results as well as pictures so I can put this up on our website (we're proud of you, no matter how you did).

Secondly, and this is incentive for all those who participated, can you please email me your name, university and contact details. Petronas scholars were partially sponsored by Petronas, however, as Petrovic was unaware of this, we are collecting retrospective claims from all you athletes out there so we can reimburse part of your travel costs. I am unsure as to how much we are claiming for, but any money is good money!

Hi everyone,

We're from the Fiesta Committee, the external committee made up of 8 (yes, count them) Malaysian student clubs including MASCA (Malaysia Students Council of Australia), KUAM (Kelab UMNO Australia Melbourne), MoMU (Malaysians of Melbourne Uni), MASS Caulfield (Malaysian Students Society Caulfield), MSA La Trobe (Malaysian Students Association La Trobe), KDMM (Kelab Dewan Malaysia Melbourne), Petrovic (Petronas Victoria Club) and ASDS (Australian Sime Darby Scholars).

We're organizing Fiesta Malaysia this year, an Independence Day celebration this 31^st of August, which will feature cultural performances, interactive events and of course, food.

We need help from ALL OF YOU. Yes, all of you. Every bit of help is appreciated.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

1. JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP.

Please look us up on Facebook, and join the group Fiesta Malaysia (Melbourne). We will update general updates here, as well as reach out for help. Be active in the discussion boards, we welcome all ideas.

Secondly, and this is very important for us, please RSVP the Fiesta Malaysia 2008 event. Please do it on Facebook, and please invite ALL YOUR FRIENDS and ask them to RSVP there, this is important for us to present to our sponsors. It takes almost no time to invite people, and there's no obligation otherwise.

2. VOLUNTEER.

We appreciate all volunteers – there will be heaps to do on the day, so if you just want to learn the ins and outs of organizing an event on this scale, if you want to gain exposure, if you want to meet new people, there are lots of things on the day that we will appreciate your time! It'll look great on your CV and training will be provided.

3. LET US KNOW ABOUT SPONSORSHIP.

Ah, the beautiful thing about organizing events that is sponsorship. If you know anyone interested in sponsoring, or if you have contacts to companies that might be interested, please let us know!
